Sleepy Creek Watershed Association Journal
The West Virginia Conservation Agency presents a case study on the importance of proper septic maintenance and the environmental impacts associated with a failing septic system. The cost share program available to assist Sleepy Creek homeowners with septic pumping or repair needs is also explained.
The goals of this project are to protect Sleepy Creek Watershed, and to educate and assist community members about the importance of continued improvement of this natural resource for future generations. Sleepy Creek Watershed Association hopes to empower local residents to join in voluntary best management practices and continue to inspire successful watershed planning processes in other Chesapeake Bay Watershed communities.
These videos were made possible by a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Chesapeake Bay Program and were produced by The Downstream Project.
