Bullskin Run Journal: Volunteer Water Monitoring
Local volunteers gather for a day of water monitoring on the Bullskin at Cool Spring Preserve. Alana Hartman of the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection lead volunteers in a benthic macro invertebrate test in order to learn more about the water quality and health of Bullskin Run.
The goals of this project are to protect, restore and enhance the Bullskin Run and the North Fork of the Bullskin, and to educate and engage community members to ensure this historic resource’s continued availability for future generations of farmers, landowners, residents, fisherman, students, teachers, and commercial users.
These videos were made possible by a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Chesapeake Bay Program and were produced by The Downstream Project.
