About the Event
Our Annual Meeting is an opportunity to bring together the people and organizations working throughout the watershed, share what we are learning, and have an open conversation about where we go from here. Against the relaxed backdrop of the vineyard, guests will hear updates about the health of Goose Creek, ongoing conservation efforts, and the partnerships helping protect this important local resource.
A highlight of the evening will be a panel discussion featuring organizations actively invested in the future of Goose Creek, including representatives from the Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, and other regional conservation and watershed partners. Panelists will share insights from their respective work, discuss current efforts underway throughout the watershed, and explore the next steps needed to continue improving water quality and protecting Goose Creek.
Just as importantly, the conversation will be open to you. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions directly of panelists, learn more about the challenges and opportunities facing the watershed, and better understand how local agencies, nonprofit organizations, landowners, volunteers, and community members can work together.
The evening will also provide an opportunity to hear directly from Goose Creek Association about our work across the watershed, from water quality monitoring and environmental education to riparian restoration, community engagement, and the partnerships that make this work possible.
Whether you are a landowner along Goose Creek or one of its tributaries, a volunteer, conservation professional, community leader, or simply someone who cares about clean water and the landscapes that make this region special, we hope you will join us.
Protecting Goose Creek is a shared effort, and its future depends on an informed and engaged community. Our Annual Meeting is a chance to learn what we know, ask what comes next, meet the people doing the work, and be part of the conversation shaping the future of the Goose Creek watershed.
We look forward to gathering with our members, partners, neighbors, and friends at Slater Run Vineyards for an evening dedicated to a place we all have a stake in protecting.
