Celebrating Public Lands Day in Virginia, Saturday, September 28, 2019

DCR has organized fabulous events across Virginia in celebration of Public Lands Day. 

On September 28, all of our Virginia State Parks will celebrate National Public Lands Day with all of the public lands across the country: the land that is my land and your land. Virginia has also declared that day Virginia Public Lands Day. We open our parks that day as a fee-free day and offer special programming including volunteer events across the parks.
