Autumn 2015 Volunteer Day
Join Friends for an Autumn clean-up as we continue our work to remove invasive species from Blue Ridge Regional Park.
Our next Volunteer Day is planned for Saturday, November 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Remember to wear long-sleeved shirts, work gloves, and sturdy shoes. Some tools and equipment will be provided, but please bring your clippers, pruning shears, or saws if you can!
Coffee and refreshments will be served at the park.
Please reply to this email if you are planning to join us!
Directions to the park: The Blue Ridge Regional Park is located off of Rte 601 (Blue Ridge Mountain Road). Drive west on Route 7 to the top of the mountain, turn left on Mountain Road and proceed about three miles. The entrance will be marked and is opposite a wall with pyramid stone posts.
This event is sponsored by Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains in partnership with the Virginia Native Plant Society and the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority.
