Friends’ Treasurer and Board member, Peter Weeks, is pleased to announce the hiring of Shannon Swartz, an experienced bookkeeper who will function on a part-time basis to handle Friends’ financial transactions and other administrative tasks. Since 2003 when she became a Certified Paralegal, Shannon has worked for law firms and private practice attorneys.  She currently supports an attorney in Leesburg and for a consulting firm in Round Hill, in addition to her work with Friends.

Originally from the Buffalo, New York area, Shannon moved to West Virginia in 2001 where she now lives in Harper’s Ferry with her husband, Steve, their four children (ages 3-14 years) plus “our dog, cat, and fish.” If all this isn’t enough to keep her busy, Shannon enjoys camping with her family, baseball, and hockey.  Friends is happy to have her on the team!
