Financial Assistance for Septic Repair and Pumping

June 25, 2026 Sleepy Creek Watershed Association

Live in the Sleepy Creek watershed? You may be eligible for cost-share assistance through our Section 319 program for:

  • Septic system pumping
  • Septic system repair

Proper septic maintenance helps protect local water quality, your property, and public health, especially in a watershed that flows directly into the Potomac River.

This program is designed to reduce pollution and keep our streams clean and thriving!

Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Program Details:

  • Septic repair: 75% cost-share up to $8,000. If total repair costs exceed $8,000, the homeowner is responsible for the remaining balance.
  • Septic pumping: 50% cost-share up to $150. If total pumping costs exceed $300, the homeowner is responsible for the remaining balance.

To apply for septic pumping assistance fill out the first document here and send it to the Eastern Panhandle Conservation District through mail, fax, or email. (Addresses are in the document.)

If you are interested in septic repair, contact Sky Brown of the EPCD at 304-380-6336.
